How We Make Money

EMR-Match is free for medical practices, and it always will be. Here's exactly how the business works, because you deserve to know who's paying for the advice you're getting.

Vendors pay us. You don't.

When we match your practice with EMR vendors that fit your requirements, those vendors pay us a referral fee for the introduction. That's the same arrangement most comparison sites use — the difference is that we tell you about it plainly.

What vendor money does NOT buy

A place in your match results — matches are generated from your stated requirements (specialty, practice size, features, budget) against our vendor database, and a vendor cannot pay to appear in results they don't fit. Better rankings — we don't sell positions, badges, or "featured" placements. Your data without your consent — we only share your information with the specific vendors we match you to, and only after you've told us on the phone that you want the introduction.

What we won't do

Claim to be "unbiased" while taking money in secret, pad your match list with vendors who paid extra, or sell your contact information to anyone beyond your matched vendors. If a vendor relationship ever conflicts with giving you accurate guidance, the guidance wins — a referral fee is worth one deal; being the site practices trust is worth all of them.

Questions about any of this? The Contact page reaches a person. How we build the comparisons themselves is on our Methodology page.
